Technical Project Manager

Kakada has spent more than ten years as a software developer. Kakada first joined InSTEDD iLab Southeast Asia in 2009 and within 4 years was promoted to Senior Software Developer. He was again promoted to technical project manager in 2017


As a technical project manager at InSTEDD iLab Southeast Asia, Kakada is mainly focused the quality of software development products for InSTEDD’s partners in the country and region. Kakada also maintains software infrastructure like Virtual Private Servers (Ezecom Data Center, Telecom Cambodia Data Center, Amazon EC2, Digital Ocean, etc.), Firewalls, Virtual Private Network(VPN) with many operators in Cambodia such as Smart Axiata, CamGSM / Mobitel, Metfone, Ezecom, Telecom Cambodia and managing project timeline schedules to deliver products to clients with a quality and timeliness guarantee. He is fluent in the approaches of Human Centered Design and Design Thinking.

He joined many tech events as a trainer, participant and speaker.  Kakada had experiences as a tech facilitator for the regional health hackathon event “Epihack” held in Cambodia in 2013, Laos in 2015, and Vietnam 2017, a trainer at  TechCamp in Cambodia 2015, and Jarkata 2017, he is a core team member of Startup Weekend and he also volunteers at ShareVisionTeam, a community of Cambodian IT professionals that share their experiences in order to support local technological learning and capacity building to grow community knowledge. Kakada is also an active volunteer and speaker in Cambodian tech communities such as Barcamp Cambodia, Barcamp Yangon.
